So Liam came home from school today with two colored pictures from a coloring book, which I promptly sent to the garbage. Sometime I try to hide them under the current trash, but I didn't this time. Two minutes later, Liam comes to me with his pictures in hand.
Liam: "Mom! Why did you throw these away?!"
Me: "Is that where they were? Hmmm, they must have fallen out there."
Liam, eyes wide: "Maybe they FLEW in there!"
Thank goodness for sweet, trusting little ones!

I do this too! On more than one occasion I've been totally caught red-handed and Joseph always says, "Busted!" But there's only so much refrigerator and wall space I can dedicate to their random scribblings! I save the most important stuff! :)
